What To Expect
Nutritional Medicine: Supporting Varied Disabilities
Food plays more than just a medicinal role in our lives. Depending on an individuals perspective, It can create self-worth / esteem, connection and community. Food can also be a trigger of fear, pain, lack and negative health associations.

Working with a wide and diverse range of disabilities, I consider all of the above. Perspective changes can take time, and much of this work is made possible with the wonderful work of an individual's extensive support team. Nutrition and biochemistry is one thing, but the application of it and real world expectations, is another. My work with NDIS is finding ways to increase a participants health, whilst helping them to feel in control, heard and independent.

I'm aware of the many practitioners it takes to facilitate lifestyle changes for each individual, and I pride myself on being a clear and trusted communicator. You'll always get a prompt response via email and turnaround of any awaiting treatment plans or reports.

FAQ's
What is Nutritional Medicine?
Nutritional Medicine is a way of sustaining, supporting and healing the body through fresh, unprocessed wholefoods & wholefood supplementation. A Nutritionist can prescribe supplements when a client is presenting with a nutrient deficiency, or to upregulate the body's capacity to heal. This is an evidence based, scientific field that has been proven to treat many symptoms of disease, as well as a key contributor in preventing disease and illness.
What's the Difference between a Dietician, Naturopath & Nutritionist?
My understanding only goes as far as my own research and keeping this short!
I encourage you to do your own research, too: Dietitian: Accredited Practising Dietitians ( APD's ) have a diverse skill set which includes food prescriptions for medical conditions such as Diabetes, Allergies and Cardiovascular Disease for example. ADP's are unique in their expertise in a hospital setting, overseeing nasogastric feeding tube patients, as well as working in the private clinical setting, and in public health.
Naturopath: Naturopath's also go under the moniker of a Herbalist. They have a wholistic approach to their clients often within a private clinical setting, considering their environment, lifestyle and food intake. Herbalists are unique in their expertise in supporting medical condition symptoms not only with dietary supplements and food as medicine, but also herbs via herbal tinctures and creams. Nutritionist: The label 'Nutritionist' can be used by a Dietitian, Naturopath, social media influencer, as well as myself, a Clinical Nutritional Medicine practitioner. In short, my version of Nutrition covers most of what a Naturopath does above, with the exception of herbal prescriptions.
I can only speak on behalf of my own personal clinical approach with supporting individuals with presenting conditions via food as medicine, supplements when absolutely necessary, drawing a large focus on lifestyle, environment and emotional presentation of my clients.
What Are Your Qualifications & Training?
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine ( Endeavour College of Natural Health ) Reiki I, II & III Mental Health First Aid TRAINING Muscle Testing Kinesiology
What Screening Checks Do You Have?
To work in collaboration within the NDIS framework, I have adequately passed the below screening checks: Vulnerable Person Related Employment Screening Working With Children
Do You Offer Pathology Testing?
I do my best to work closely with your GP to get any blood pathology tests we may need covered under Medicare. I can also prescribe a private referral through Abbotts Pathology, at an extra cost to yourself. While functional pathology can tell us some things, your biochemistry changes regularly as the body does its best to always be in a state of equilibrium, and to heal itself. These tests can be helpful at times, and misleading at others. I use my discernment with each individual case to see whether they are useful for you at the time. Nutritionally Focused Pathology Tests Blood Pathologies Hair Mineral Analysis Nutrient Status Urinalysis Saliva Tests Functional Nutrition Testing

Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis Candida & Ceoliac Screening Combination Food Panels of IgG /IgA /IgE Hair Metal & Mineral Testing Methylation Testing Mould and Bio-Toxin Markers Organic Acid Testing ( Urine Testing ) Salivary Hormones and Cortisol Function
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
To ensure the smooth running of the clinic, booking times are strictly adhered to by myself for the best care of my clients. I do require at least 24 hours cancellation notice via email prior to your appointment. If this isn't possible, the first unintentionally missed appointment's cost will be absorbed by myself. All cancellations that fall outside of the 24 hour period, do incur a late cancellation fee equal to 30% of the consultation fee to you, the client.
